About Me
Profile: After just a season in first-class cricket, Dale Steyn announced himself on the international stage by demonstrating his express pace on Test debut against England at St. George's Park, Port Elizabeth. Although the Proteas lost the match, he bowled Marcus Trescothick for his first Test victim and added the wicket of Michael Vaughan in the second innings, also bowled. He impressed in the home series against New Zealand in conducive near-autumnal conditions, with 16 wickets in the three-Test series. His progress and impressive control has been such that he has also become a key strike bowler in South Africa's one-day plans. A spell with English county team Warwickshire in 2007 should help prepare him further, especially for when the Proteas tour England in 2008.
